Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains how BadVenture (“we”) collects and uses information when you use our mobile app or website at badventures.net.
1. Information we collect
- Anonymous account — Firebase may assign an anonymous user ID for saves, ratings, published missions, and follow relationships.
- Nickname — A display name you choose (3–20 characters), shown on mission cards and leaderboards.
- Gameplay data — Mission plays, wins, completion times, star ratings, and scenario JSON you publish.
- Device data — Push notification tokens (if you allow notifications), analytics events, crash logs, and advertising identifiers via Firebase Analytics and AdMob.
- Website logs — Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) when you browse badventures.net.
2. How we use information
- Run the game, sync community missions, and show Following feeds.
- Generate shareable mission and profile links with Open Graph previews.
- Improve stability and measure feature usage.
- Show relevant ads where enabled.
- Moderate abusive community content.
3. Sharing
Mission titles, creator nicknames, play counts, and public profile links are visible to other players. We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Analytics, Cloud Messaging) and ad partners as described in their policies. We do not sell personal information.
4. AI scenario generation
When you describe a mission in plain English, your text is sent to an AI service to generate scenario JSON. Do not include personal data in prompts. Generated scenarios are stored locally and optionally published to Firestore if you choose to share.
5. Children
BadVenture is designed to be family-friendly. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your choices
- Disable push notifications in device settings.
- Reset advertising ID in iOS/Android privacy settings.
- Uninstall the app to stop local data collection.
7. Data retention
Community missions and stats remain until deleted by you or moderation. Anonymous accounts may be cleaned up after long inactivity.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, Firebase security rules, and server-side admin tools. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
